It's Very Hard To Be A Texans Fan Right Now [NFL]
Deadspin —
The good thing about being a quarterback in Houston is that there is virtually nothing you can do that will be bad enough to equal the worst collapse your fans have ever seen. That would have been in the 1993 playoffs, when the Bills came back from 32 points down in the second half to beat the Houston Oilers in overtime, 41-38. By comparison, Sunday's collapse to the Colts was nothing at all; just the mere loss of a 17-point lead in the final five minutes. Although the game did feature Sage Rosenfel's spectacular Helicopter Fail (video following the jump). You don't see something like that every day. Rosenfels turned it over three times as the Colts somehow ...
My faith in Sage Rosenfels has not been shaken
Shutdown Corner —
For a guy who had a quarterback rating of 83.6 yesterday, Sage Rosenfels is
taking quite a beating all around the football world this morning.
I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it. Savage beatings tend to follow when a
man turns the ball over three times in a game's last three possessions en route
to giving up a 17-point fourth quarter lead to a division rival that leaves your
team as one of the four without a win on the year. People tend to notice that.
So hammer away. He deserves it, and he knows that. The
Texans choked, and Rosenfels will freely admit that he was the guy holding
the plastic bag over their faces for the ...

SCHAUB OUT A MONTH
ProFootballTalk.com —
Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reports that Texans quarterback Matt Schaub suffered a torn MCL on Sunday against the Vikings, and he’ll miss at least a month. The MCL typically heals itself with rest; surgery is required only when there’s a complete tear. Taking Schaub’s place will be Sage Rosenfels, one of the better backup quarterbacks in the league (notwithstanding that unfortunate John Elway imitation , which cost the Texans a win over the Colts). Over the next four weeks, the Texans host the Ravens in the Ike makeup game, travel to Indy for a rematch with the Colts, head to Cleveland for a game against the Browns, and then return to Houston for a Monday ...
Zygi Wilf and Rick Spielman typically only watch 56 minutes of non-Vikings games
this is the city line. —
Hence, the Vikings’ owner and general manager see nothing wrong with this. From the Houston Chronicle:
The Texans and Minnesota are close to completing a trade that would send quarterback Sage Rosenfels to the Vikings, possibly for a fourth-round draft choice.
The Texans had no comment on the report. ...
Sage Rosenfels LikeLy To Be Traded To The Minnesota Vikings
FanIQ Blog —
The Minnesota Vikings have spent the last two years as a team that was a Super Bowl contender on both sides of the ball with the exception of one position: quarterback.
The Tarvaris Jackson experiment didn't work out real well, seeing as he couldn't seem to avoid throwing killer picks. Gus Frerotte went 8-3 in place of Jackson last season, but got injured before the playoffs. Needless to say, Jackson's second chance didn't go so well. So since Jackson has now proven to be a bust, and Frerotte is steadily approaching 75, the Vikings have decided that they need to do something big. They need to trade for a big time QB. A gunslinger, a man who can lead their ...

The Vikings solving all their problems by trading for Sage Rosenfels. Sage..... Rosenfels..... It's odd that the Twins only ave 2 players on the Top 100 prospects list. Rich Eisen is one smart cookie.
