Scalabrine might as well be a cat with
all the lives he's lived here in Boston. Every...
time he's left for dead he pops up again. If he's playing, chances are someone has been hurt. If he's playing, you know that Ainge is looking around at what other options are out

Worst of the Weekend: Supra Sucko edition
Basketbawful —
The Memphis Grizzlies: A 21-point road loss at the claws of the Raptors wasn't all that surprising, I guess, but their "effort" on defense was notable in that they surrendered 55.6 percent shooting...which represents the dinos' season-high for field goal accuracy. And mind you, the Raptors were still without Jose Calderon and Jose Calderon. [Mentally prepares self for series of "Are they better without...?" articles/blog posts about the Raptors minus Ocho and The Drain.] Andrea Bargnani: Uh oh. Bargs is beginning to fall way behind in the race for Worst First Overall Draft Pick of All ...
The Post Up: Boston Back On Track
SLAM Online —

Happy Monday morning, Slammers.
Highlight of my weekend? Seeing Joey Graham and Brian Scalabrine get into it in the Raps/Celtics game yesterday. Nothing happened, just two guys getting heated, but still it was fantastic to hear the entire ACC cheering “Joey! Joey!”
Unfortunately for that crowd, the Raptors lost, putting an end to the C’s four-game losing skid.
Hope you guys got to watch the Indiana/Golden State game. Granger is fantastic. Stephen Jax in that pink shirt on the bench was fantastic as well.
The Clippers fell apart in the fourth quarter against the Suns last night. ...

I *Heart* Celtics —
CELTICS WIN TWO IN A ROW AGAINST THE RAPTORS, SCALABRINE RETURNS AS "THE ENFORCER", PIERCE GOES BANANAS AND SCORES 39 AFTER LOOKING KINDA CRAPPY FOR THE LAST MONTH OR SO I don't know if the Celtics are "fixed"- two good games in a row against a mediocre-at-best Raptors team isn't saying much- but a lot of the problems that have plagued the Celtics recently (horrible turnovers, horrible ball rotation to find the hot hand, horrible bench play, horrible free throw shooting, horrible execution in crunch time) have melted away as of late. Sure, the Big Three played 40+ minutes last night but it was an OT game. Scalabrine, ...

I Miss Brian Scalabrine
celticsblog.com 2/10/2009 —
I gotta say, I never thought I'd miss Brian Scalabrine in the lineup, but we need him right now.
Call it coincidence if you like, but think about this. The Celtics are undefeated when Scal plays over 14 minutes (14-0). And 4 of their 11 losses came when Scal didn't play at all. ...
Brian Scalabrine does not suck
examiner.com 12/6/2008 — It's time to bust a myth here in Celtics land. Maybe it's not a myth. Maybe it's a misconception. Or maybe it's just the fact that fans want to have at least one whipping boy around.
Brian Scalabrine does not suck. He's a solid role player. That's what he is, has been, and ever will be.
