MYSM: Sean Taylor
Pleats 'n Cleats —
I know MYSM is supposed to be a video to make you smile, but I thought today's video is a little bit more important than just smiling. Because even if you don't care about football or Sean Taylor's death, I hope that his death serves as a reminder that Mondays may be bad, but we should be thankful that we're still here to complain about it. What I've taken from Taylor's death is that we really have to cherish the precious present, and try not to sweat the small stuff . . . hard, I know, but not impossible. I'm not going to have a chance to post again until tonight, so until I come up for air again . . . Happy ...
Monday NFL Hangover: And on the third week, he rose
Construda —
Naturally, Purple Jesus rose from the dead and it was against the Detroit Lions and he promptly took out his built-up anger on the opponent after missing two games due to a knee injury. Sixteen carries for 115 yards and two scores who made Lions safety Kenoy Kennedy look like a fool. And AD didn't even play in the final quarter. Now the Minnesota Vikings are 6-6, winners of three straight, and in position to reach the playoffs. They're apart of the cluster that is the NFC WildCard. With the Lions, losers of four straight, giving away the second WildCard berth, and the Vikings and Cardinals playing well (6-6), it's shaping up to be a crazy finish this ...
Monday Morning Musings...
Sports Business Radio blogs —
Happy Monday to you. Hope you enjoyed your weekend. A few, random thoughts for you here as we get the week underway:
- The happiest people in America today are at Fox Sports. Before the start of the weekend, it looked like they'd be left with a Missouri vs West Virginia BCS national championship game. But thanks to Oklahoma's trouncing of Missouri and West Virginia's epic choke job at home to 4-7 Pittsburgh (West Virginia was favored by 28 points), the people at Fox have now been presented with an early Christmas gift - a Ohio State vs LSU BCS national championship game. Nobody outside of Missouri and West Virginia would have watched those ...
SEAN TAYLOR'S FUNERAL AND TRIBUTE VIDEO
MUD FREE SPORTS —
Sean Taylor is being remembered and laid to rest today at his funeral in Miami. Sean Taylor's funeral is being broadcast on ESPNNEWS and is a sad reminder of how much these gladiators called Professional Football Players are full of emotions. LaVar Arrington spoke and began to break down as he spoke of how he loved Sean Taylor and the rest of his teammates. RIP Sean Taylor. RIP.
Washington Redskins, NFL Pre-Game Tribute to Sean Taylor
FanIQ Blog —
With Sean Taylor's funeral going on today I wanted to post this tribute the NFL and Washington Redskins played for those in attendance throughout the league yesterday.
From a fan that was at the game (Murph), they wanted to share what was the best sign on Sunday:
"God needed a safety on his team"
Good stuff.
NFL Week 13 Wrap: Joe Gibbs to Blame for Redskins Emotional Loss?
Hail Mary Jane —
Redskins Unable to pull of Emotional Victory
The Washington Redskins honored Sean Taylor in every way possible except for winning the game. They started out the game with only 10 defensive players on the field to signify Sean Taylor not being there. You could see members of the Redskins crying at different points in the game. Nearly every member in the crowd had #21 towels or signs.
(Skins with 10 players on the field)
Playing only 5 days after Sean ...
Remembering Sean Taylor, One Year Later
FanHouse —
by Sportz Assassin Filed under: Redskins, NFC East, NFL Video Today is Thanksgiving for all of us, but to Sean Taylor's family, friends and fans it is a day we will never forget. One year ago today, Taylor passed away from injuries sustained from gunshot wounds during a botched robbery attempt. I've been trying to figure out what I wanted to say in this post and still can't come up with the words to explain how I feel. It just goes back to what I felt inside during the week of his death. Instead of rambling on and stumbling all over ...
