Some good news: I'm feeling better. It turned out to be a five-day flu, and I can tell you one thing, that's the last time I make out with Peter King at the Super Bowl. Hope and pray that you don't get this flu. Some bad news: Much to my horror, a few readers mistakenly thought Friday's posting -- which was explicitly presented as a belated collection of Super Bowl e-mails from readers, as well as a chance for me to promote the auction of my Randy Moss jersey -- was actually a mailbag, leading to a few "that mailbag sucked!" e-mails. Come on! How could you call that a real mailbag???? I'm wounded. More good news: My Moss jersey ...
Random YouTube Magic: Shaq Sings to Vlade
FanHouse —
Filed under: Lakers, Kings, NBA Videos
I guess Vlade Divac mentioned that he didn't think the Lakers could beat his Sacramento Kings in the (2002?) playoffs without having home court advantage. Whoops. Shaq is hilarious here, and while his improv skills are off the charts, his choice of ringtones is at the very least, questionable.

A video preview to the NBA All-Star game
Ball in Europe - European Basketball Blog —
A video preview to the NBA All-Star game Before we get the first words from Andre who is in New Orleans, I wanted to give you a little preview of it in a different way. As I barely follow the NBA, I had of course to check first the rosters and see that the Euro-invasion to the NBA seems to be over. Where have all the Euros gone if just Dirk Nowitzki is present during the All-Star game. Ok, Shaquille O’Neal, who is not an All-Star anymore knew years ago already that Dirk will become a real superstar as you can see. Talking about Shaq, he is one of the only guys I remember from last year’s edition when he was dancing with Dwight Howard. And ...
What Will Shaq Do Tonight?
Dime Magazine —
In terms of hype, tonight’s Suns/Lakers matchup is without a doubt the biggest game of the season. The entire basketball world will be watching (and scrutinizing) Shaq’s debut in a Suns uni on his new home floor. How will he look? Is he healthy? Is he in shape? How will be blend with the Suns offense? How will his presence change the way they play? With the matchup against Kobe as the game’s backdrop, and with the vast majority of the game’s “experts” having skewered the trade since it went down, all eyes are on Phoenix tonight. We thought we’d mix up our coverage a bit and give you predictions straight from most of the Dime Crew . And ...

NBA Commissioner, David Stern, REALLY wants the league to get exposure in the Europe.
Perhaps MLS is more popular than we thought; however, I still can’t seem to find anybody that watches it.
Sometimes, when teams keep losing, they have to develop imaginary teammates they wish they could win with.
Hideki Matsui apparently married a civilian and drew a lovely picture of her for proof. Now he is a “disclosed amount” richer.

Shaq Opens Up A Can of Shaq Fu
Sports Bastards —
Four years, two teams, and an NBA Championship ring later, and Shaquille O'Neal is still bringing up the relationship (and lack thereof) between himself and a one, Mr. Kobe Bryant. Although Shaq claims he and Kobe have a better relationship now, the video below shows Shaq freestyling at a local New York nightclub, saying things such as, "Kobe couldn't do [it] without me," "Kobe how's my ass taste," and, in reference to his own infidelity and upcoming divorce, "Kobe ratted me out, that's why I'm getting divorced." ...
Shaq looks plump and Divac gets some rafter space
VeriHoops —
Is it just me or does Shaq look really plump in this video? If you can’t make out the words, Shaq is free-styling about Vlade Divac, who is reportedly having his jersey retired on March 31, 2009. Vlade?! Vlade the flopper Divac?! The Kings must be really desperate because all I remember of Vlade from the Kings was the tip out to Robert Horry in Game 4 of the 2002 WCF. We all know what happened there. Actually, Vlade was a decent center, just didn’t imagine a player of his ilk would get a jersey retired in the NBA.

Top Ten worst NBA All-Stars
Top Ten Chicago Sports —
At its best, the NBA All-Star game defines why so many people love the game of basketball. The world’s premier athletes throw behind-the-back passes, drain long distance threes, put down reverse dunks and (occasionally) play aggressive defense for 48 minutes, usually with a smile on their face the entire time. At its worst…well, that’s what this list is all about. Here are ten players who have disgraced the NBA’s mid-season classic the past 15 years, ranking from best players to worst. ...
Shaqtacular Moments
The Rap —
Thursday March 5 2009 - 1:08pm Eastern (Toronto, ON)
So, I’m sitting here wondering what to write about and I start thinking back to a week ago when the Raptors were preparing to face the Shaq and the Suns in Phoenix.
Well, a week later, the Raps are now getting set to tip it off against one of Shaq’s former teams - the Miami Heat - and the big man also made the headlines in Raptorland over the past 7 days for his “RuPaul” comments about Chris Bosh.
Zack Cooper will likely be on this blog later today with some sort of wrap-up from Toronto’s practice (he covered today - not me), ...
"Guess What? Kobe Dunked it in your Face!"
Outside the Boxscore —
Shaq is a goofy dude. In this video he disses on (then) Sacramento Kings Center Vlade Divac for thinking the Lakers couldn't win on the road in the playoffs. The diss is truly amazing though, as it's sung to the tune of the Cheers theme song which Shaq has playing on his cell phone. Enjoy.
Shaqtastic! A Shaq Clipshow to Bring Awesome to Your Dayow
Great Sports Name Hall of Fame —
If you've read any of my stuff over at Outside the Boxscore, you probably know that I am a huge fan of all things Shaq related. Well today NESW Sports posted an amazing tribute performance of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" by Shaq (and presumably his kids' friends). The video is essentially Shaq and this one kid pushing each other for a bit, followed by a two minute plastic knife fight, followed by some MJ and Shaq photos. It's definitely weird, but I love it. NESW posted a few other excellent videos of Shaq in their post. I'm including the two that NESW included as well as some other Shaq blasts from the ...
