Shaq Video Interview : On Kobe, Legacy & Dancing
A Stern Warning - NBA, NBL and FIBA News & Views — This is a great video interview with Shaquille O'Neal, courtesy of ESPN. As always, you have to admire Shaq's confidence, openness and ability to interact with the media. The guy is just a reporter's dream. Here he talks about his relationship with Kobe during the Laker years and the fact that those titles might not have come without all of the friction; he talks about his legacy after basketball; he calls himself the Best Big Man Dancer In The World (hard to argue with); and he says that he called Kobe immediately after that "tell me how my a$$ tastes" rap and apologised and Kobe understood.  It is clear that he respects  Bryant a lot now and that everything in ...

Shaq Interview - ESPN
LABallTalk.com — Shaquille O’Neal has grown up. The games are over with. Shaq met with Colleen Dominguez and recorded one of the best interviews I have ever seen him in. The interview touched on various topics such as the Olympics, Shaqs favorite moments with the Orlando Magic, and even the amazing time he shared with Kobe Bryant. To much surprise, Shaq even said that Kobe is one of the greatest players ever. He described his moments with Kobe as amazing memories and wouldn’t mind having more of that. There really is no need for me to break down the intreview, but I highly recommend that everyone takes the time to watch this. Simply said, I feel that Shaq is far more mature than he ...

The Fundamentals
BallerBlogger.com — Ramona Shelburne of The Daily News:  “”If I had to do it all over again, I would probably bring it up more, I would probably start more fights with him (Kobe Bryant). I was putting up great numbers, he was putting up great numbers, it made him all pissed off and he’s one of those (guys) where when he gets pissed off, he can go on and score 80 points. “I think we were the greatest one-two punch in the game, greatest little man, big man punch in the game. Period.” Why then, did Shaq rip Kobe in that infamous freestyle rap over the summer? “That was my bad, a bad thing to do,” O’Neal said. “I just threw his ...
