Stuart Scott's Lazy Eye discusses Adam Morrison's stat line from the Bobcats/Hawks preseason game. Last night, Adam Morrison further proved that he is the worst 6'8 " rebounder in the history of the NBA. Adam managed ZERO rebounds, ZERO steals, ZERO blocks, and for good measure, ZERO assists. In 31 minutes of play (he did manage 8 points). So far this preseason, in 5 games, Mr. Morrison is averaging 1.1 rebounds per game. In case you are wondering, Spud Webb averaged 2.1 for his career Sham Sports gives their season preview of the Charlotte Bobcats As I said above, Charlotte seemed like a strange ...

In 31 minutes of play (he did manage 8 points). So far this preseason, in 5 games, Mr. Morrison is averaging 1.6 rebounds per game. In case you are wondering, Spud Webb averaged 2.1 for his career, and Damon Stoudamire had more rpg last year (and over his career than Morrison). I only mention this because evidently he's been working on his defense all summer. The Eye is intrigued ...

ADAM MORRISON TO MISS SEASON
Published 10/22/2007 at With Leather - Sports news and gossip for your impressionable young children
Charlotte Bobcat fans have to be disappointed at the loss of small forward Adam Morrison, the third pick overall in the '06 draft who tore his ACL on Saturday night.  Morrison will miss the entirety of the coming season, and you can bet that his production will be sorely missed.[Thursday] night, Adam Morrison further proved that he is the worst 6'8" rebounder in the history of the NBA. Adam managed ZERO rebounds, ZERO steals, ZERO blocks, and for good measure, ZERO assists. In 31 minutes of play (he did manage 8 points). COOL SPORTS SH!T: NBA ALL-STAR WEEKEND
Published 2/12/2008 by UKChris at Epic Carnival - Pop Culture, Sports, Celebrities, Babes, Rumors, Innuendo
by Chris Richardson, Intentional Foul If you haven't noticed, I changed the title of this week's post a little in an effort to celebrate the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend, of which, you can consider me a fan. I love the dunk contest, the 3-point contest and the rookie/sophomore challenge because it does a great job of showcasing what it is that makes the NBA great: talented players showing off their abilities. While the NBA may take a beating in popularity, I defy anyone to show me a skill level that trumps the Michael Jordans, Dominique Wilkinses, Vince Carters and Larry Birds of the world, but it's ...

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly From NBA All-Star Weekends Past
Published 2/15/2008 at FanIQ Blog
NBA All-Star Weekend, which has been given the moniker of "Black Thanksgiving" by one prominent hack, can better be known as the bright spot among professional sports celebrations. Where else can you get some bad disco, a 5'7 guy winning a dunk contest, a fat former player racing an elderly official and then locking lips, and some tall skinny white dude proclaiming the "Birdman" is going to fly. ...

It’s Just About Time for 1988’s Most Exciting Event
Published 2/16/2008 by lozo at SPORTSbyBROOKS
That’s right folks. We’re mere hours away from crowning jewel of NBA All-Star Weekend — the Slam Dunk Contest and 3-Point Shootout, better known today as the Yawn Bore Snooze and the Change The Channel. Maybe it’s because I’m old and crotchety, but I remember when the Dunk contest was cool. Michael Jordan . Dominique Wilkins . Spud Webb . Now I’m supposed to be enthralled by a Jamario Moon - Rudy Gay showdown? When you look at the contestants for the event 20 years ago and compare them to today’s participants, it’s no contest. This year, it’s Dwight Howard , Gerald Green , Moon and Gay. Who were 1988’s dunkers? MJ, Wilkins, Webb and ...

Shorten Your Expectations

I couldn't care less that Josh Childress chose to bolt the NBA for Greece. And losing imports Carlos Arroyo, Juan Carlos Navarro, Jorge Garbajosa, Carlos Delfino, Bostjan Nachbar, Primosz Brezec and Nenad Krstic doesn't even deserve a raised eyebrow. But I'm not going to lie, this one hurts. On Tuesday, one of my favorite players made like Clark Griswald and went "European Vacation" on us. Earl Boykins, all 5-foot-5 of him, signed a one-year deal worth more than $3.5 million with Italian side Virtus Bologna. The deal makes the pint-sized Boykins the highest paid player in the Italian ...
