VIDEO: Wild Weekend in MLS, Crew Fans Go Mental, United Supporters Throw Down Gauntlet, Beckham Scores from 70 Yrds Out
Major League Soccer (MLS) Rumors - For the time between the games —
Wow. This is why we love MLS. Weekends like this one are what make the league compelling to watch. First up we have the incredible come back from behind (twice) victory of an embattled DC United side and even better than that, someone sent us a video which features not only game highlights but starts with a Barra Brava remake of this Bank of Montreal commercial featuring actors dressed as Toronto FC Supporters. Only in this case the Barra's video features real people at games, not actors. As for the game, DC United managed to do several remarkable things they have not been known for doing this season: 1) scoring a goal off a corner, 2) Scoring a goal via a ...
An ugly scene in Columbus (and it's time for the streamers to go)

As you may have heard by now, things got a tad messy at the Columbus Crew-New England Revolution match. Some overzealous Crew fans, and some folks attending the game who don't deserve the label of fans, decided it was a good idea to through foreign objects ranging from water bottles to a lit flare, at Revs players.
As much as I wish that was the extent of the ...

This is Steve Ralston of the New England Revolution (well-ell, you know, we all want to change the world) attempting a corner kick this weekend in Columbus against the Crew.
As you can see, he had a few hurdles to cross there before he got to the ball. Just a few. Not only is MLS growing (look at our international talent!), so too, are its fans. Hooray for rowdiness.

Columbus Crew Fans Set a Very Bad Example

Filed under: MLSIf you don't like foul language and racial epithets, or you don't want your co-workers to hear them, you probably don't want to click play on this video: That was a Columbus Crew fan dropping both F-bombs and N-bombs at New England Revolution forward Kheli Dube after he scored the game-winning goal in the Revs' 1-0 win over the Crew last weekend. Apparently, this particular "fan" decided that was acceptable behavior at a soccer game. Gee, where would he have gotten that idea? Of course, the coup de grace is that this same fan shouts that ...
American Soccer Fans can be Hooligans, Too

To help you get ready for today's friendly between USA and England at 3pm, here's proof that the soccer fans across the Atlantic are not the only one's who can cause general mischief at a match.
That's the fans of the Columbus Crew, making life difficult for New England Revolution's Steve Ralston as he attempts to take a corner.
Ohio...making America proud since 1803.
Columbus Crew Fans Are Total Jackasses
FanIQ Blog —
Foreign soccer fans have a reputation for being many things: racists, drunks, criminals, etc. That's not true for all of them of course, just about 99.6% of them.
Unfortunately, American soccer fans who cheer for MLS teams seem to be starting to head in that direction as well - especially fans of the Columbus Crew. Apparently Crew fans have learned from their foreign counterparts that you can do things at a soccer game that would get you a month in prison at any other sporting event.
Our first clip here is from this weekend's 1-0 victory by the New England Revolution over the Columbus Crew. The fans don't take too kindly to Kheli Dube's goal, ...
Hey, Columbus fans. Fucking quit it!

This comes from We are the Postmen. I take issue with the douchenozzle writing that this is the way forward for American soccer. This is an embarrassment. Video after the jump. See, if US fans were truly catching up to their Euro counterparts, they would be facing all-stadia bans throughout the country and put on a hooligan watchlist. Couple this with the fact that, at the same game, when New England scored their winning goal, other things started coming out of the stands. Racial epithets, batteries and bottles all aimed at the winning goal scorer, Kheli Dube. This is the video, from the same ...
