Raptors Lose Game, Ford Loses Mind
FanHouse — Filed under: Raptors, Eastern, NBA Videos, NBA Last Night, Toronto Did you cringe while watching this? I did. Jason Kapono did a nice thing and probably saved T.J. Ford some dough by preventing Ford from bum-rushing the official, but man, was restraining him by the neck really a smart idea? I know Ford isn't made of glass, but I would considered just picking him up around the waist and carrying him to the locker room myself before doing that. As for the rest of the Raptors, they ended getting waxed by 17, falling to the Jazz ...

Behind the boxscore, where the champs and the C's reign
Ball Don't Lie — ... six rebounds in 24 minutes) as a solid sixth man - but this was Charlotte's game to lose. And, they lost it. Shock horror! They don't want to play for their coach, Derek Anderson (17 points) is still alive, and the Bobcats have turned into a once-promising start as a franchise into something worth shaking your head over. Utah 96, Toronto 79 I'm afraid the reification of T.J. Ford as something that rhymes with a stick is complete. There's precious little to offer here, the Raptors have lost eight of ten ...

Worst of the Night: March 18, 2008
Basketbawful — Jeremy Richardson: He played only 10 seconds and, of course, went zero-for-everything. Makes sense, since I can't even unwrap a stick of gum in 10 seconds. Super Mario West -- who actually got onto the floor for a buck and some change -- said: "I feel your pain, bro." DeShawn Stevenson: Al Horford gave him a little of The Mutumbo Treatment in the fourth quarter of Washington's home loss to the Hawks. Watching him flail around in an attempt to get the foul was kind of funny, and kind of sad. Seemed worth a mention. New York Knicks: They let Mike ...

TJ Ford Goes Nuts…
SLAM Online — …And Jason Kapono holds him back by his neck! Clearly, Jason has not read the guy’s medical chart. © Marcel Mutoni for SLAM Online, 2008. | Permalink | 4 comments Add to del.icio.us Search blogs linking this post with Technorati Want more on ...

TJ Ford loses his cool, gets tossed
Ball Don't Lie — 65-65, start of the fourth quarter. In comes T.J. Ford for Jose Calderon. Ford's next five minutes: missed shot, turnover, turnover, defensive foul, offensive foul, Napoleon complex!, tech, tech, ejection, sigh. I've been one of Ford's biggest supporters and, some would say, apologist in the blogosphere, but I think it's safe to say that TJ is as good as gone from Toronto after this season. His play over the last few weeks has been so erratic that I'm not even sure giving him the starting PG duties back (or the return of Chris Bosh) ...

T.J. Ford Wants a Piece of Marc Davis
Dime Magazine — After T.J. clearly fouls Ronnie Brewer by extending his off arm, he tries to make it through Jason Kapono’s choke hold to get at referee Marc Davis . It’s pretty ridiculous that Kapono has no problem at all holding T.J. back. Ford ends up looking like a toy poodle trying to run through a leash.

T.J. Ford Seems To Disagree With This Foul Call
MVN Outsider — In just 13:31 of playing time during the Raptors-Jazz contest on Monday night, T.J. Ford managed to shoot a dismal 3-9 from the field, while racking up four turnovers and having a brutal +/- rating for the game of -21. What better way to end such a horrible game than throwing a temper tantrum at the officiating crew and picking up a pair of technicals? First of all, Jason Kapono’s attempt to restrain Ford has gotta be one of the funniest things I’ve seen in quite some time. More importantly, I have no idea what the hell Ford could have been arguing about…there was absolutely no question he committed ...

Buzzer Beaters - 03/23
Hoops Addict — ... he’s lost his starting spot to Jose Calderon. How’s that for a punch in the gut? I don’t care who you are, that’s a crushing blow to your ego and confidence. Since Ford’s returned to the Raptors he’s tried to be a distributor and get his teammates involved but when that hasn’t worked his ego has taken over and he’s tried to win games all by himself because he feels he can score at will. What’s happened is things have blown up and Ford let loose during a game against Utah last week and his temper tantrum ...

2007-08 NBA Worsties: Part 5
Basketbawful — And now, Part 5 of this year's NBA Worsties. We've gotten through March now. Only three long months and several more reader nominations to go... Dwyane Wade calls out...Reggie Miller?!: With the Heat sucking and D-Wade clearly not playing up to his pre-injury standards, Reggie suggested during a TNT broadcast that Wade was playing at about 60 percent capacity. This illicited unexpected rage from Pookie, who said: "Tell Reggie to meet me at the gym in Miami and see what percentage I am. We'll go from there. I'm not 100 (%), but I'm not 60." Sure, Dwyane. Because (as I said at the time) ...

"It’s not a good situation but there’s nothing I can do," Garbajosa said last night before Toronto’s game against the Utah Jazz. "It is a decision that the Raptors took and we’ll see what happens. I just wish they find an agreement as soon as possible between both of them. "I don’t like it because I’m [...]
