T.O. Cries For Tony Romo After Loss
The Sporting Blog —
By Chris Mottram
Terrell Owens wishes for you to know three things: A) Tony Romo is his quarterback; B) Big girls don't cry, but wide receivers do; C) "That's not fair":
Sadly, I have to sort of a agree with T.O. in one respect: The talk about Romo's vacation last weekend was ridiculous. How could going to Mexico with Jessica Simpson during your off week negatively affect any aspect of a man's life?
Oh, and they didn't lose "as a team." They lost because Wade Phillips is their coach.

Cowboys Lose, Owens Cries, Blogosphere Explodes with Glee
Your Face is a Sports Blog —
I haven't been reading around yet this morning but I'm guessing this video is all over the place. Rightfully so. It's not every day one of the best receivers in football breaks down while defending the shitty play of his quarterback after a home playoff loss. Actually, that's wrong. I'm going out on a limb here to guess that much like Bette Midler's understudy for Rochelle Rochelle, T.O. cries all the time (he's made a long journey from San Fran to Dallas.) I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he cries after dropping passes over the middle or after a cornerback tells him his kids book was the suck. I'm no doctor, but TO has issues. The ...
Terrell Owens’ moment of clarity
The Postmen // A Sports Blog // Chicago, IL. —
Everyone has seen this clip by now, but it’s worth looking at again. It’s easy to make fun of Terrell Owens for crying after a game; the macho athletic culture frowns on that, as we all know. Plus, T.O. is a d-bag. He’s lived his whole career as a d-bag. He will probably continue to be a d-bag. And his jacket was, well, it was the jacket of an admittedly stylish d-bag. Did I mention T.O.’s a d-bag?
Still, the sheer shock of seeing Owens crying, seeing himself get choked up in defense of what appears to be a friend — well, as my roommate said, it ...

Go cry in your popcorn bee-yatch, and take Troy Aikman with you. It took Troy 59 Minutes and 51 seconds of game time to realize that the Cowboys were not the best team on the field yesterday. His fawning over his ex-team was sickening. All the hype over T.O. coming back from his ankle injury and not a mention of Plaxico Burress who has played on a bum ankle virtually ALL SEASON!! I know everyone was looking forward to a match up between Brett Favre and his little puppy dog Tony Romo in the Championship Game, but someone forgot to tell the Giants. I don't blame ...

Terrell Owens is a True Cowboy
The Landry Hat | A Blog For Dallas Cowboys Fans —
I have always thought that Terrell Owens gets a bad rap. Although he was once one of Dallas Cowboys fans’ most-disliked players because of the “star incident” when he was a 49er, he’s quickly become one of my favorite players on this team. Despite the press trying to create controversy with Owens all year at the drop of a dime, the wide out really showed his true colors this year with the Dallas Cowboys. He was a team player. He was supportive. And he played hard. All he wants to do is win. Last night’s press conference was emotional. I felt his pain. Of course, the anti-Cowboys minority is making fun of him and the Cowboys, and that ...

Land of Patriots | New England Patriots Blog —
We got some memorable NFL moments yesterday, didn’t we? I can’t say I’m too surprised by how these games turned out. Dallas hasn’t looked impressive over the past month or so, while the Giants, strangely, have. It feels weird to think it, never mind type it, but Eli looks like a real NFL quarterback! Go, little brother! And how convenient that Archie won’t have to pick whose game to go to next week.
Nothing’s better than seeing the Manning Face during the playoffs. You know, that face Peyton gets when things aren’t going his way, all shrugging disgust, looking around ...
Terrell Owens in Tears After Loss to Giants
Every Morning Quarterback —
Blogging the National Football League, Blogging the NFL
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrell Owens was in tears during a presser after yesterday’s loss to the N.Y. Giants. I was watching it live on NFL Network and it took me by surprise. I think T.O. was physically and emotionally spent after fanatically rehabbing a high ankle sprain to get ready for that NFC Divisional Playoff game. And with the disappointment (and probably shock) that came with the defeat, his emotions just came out in front of the whole world. ...

T.O. Won’t Talk To Media - Unless They’re Sexy
SPORTSbyBROOKS —
Before Terrell Owens spilled his heart out on Sunday, he spent the previous week shying away from the media - until one ravishing reporter caught his eye.
T.O. spent last Wednesday’s press conference hiding behind a curtain. But when he peaked out, he spotted a curvaceous blonde with a press pass. Terrell proceeded to wave the reporter over and chatted it up with her, no doubt discussing backfields in motion and defensive penetration.
But who is the lovely lass with the nice…media room demeanor?

Football season is over. No more games on Sunday. Though we will have to wait half a year for the next Giants game, that shouldn’t stop us from reliving the best moments of our championship season. In lieu of a real football game, I dedicated this past Sunday “The Road to the Super Bowl,” and watched all three pre-Lombardi playoff contests. From those games I picked 15 moments during that furious three-week trip from Tampa to Dallas to the frozen tundra of Green Bay. Dallas Cowboys 2007 Fantasy Review

By Blake Genraich It was a banner season in the big D, both in terms of team performance and, most importantly, to all of us fantasy junkies. No less than three members of the offense were near the top of the class at their respective positions, and the best part about it? All were likely found at somewhat bargain prices in pre-season drafts. With the club entering the off-season with little turmoil or turnover likely, there is much to look forward to, but unfortunately, those garage sale prices are toast. QB Going into the ''07 season, the memory etched in every football fan's head from '06 was Tony Romo ...

Posted by ESPN.com's Matt Mosley In case you somehow missed this, Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens recently traveled to Canada to shoot an episode of Flavor Flav's new sitcom, "Under One Roof." I "regret" to say that I missed the show's debut, which featured T.O. and Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison) from "A Different World." Last year, of course, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo performed terribly during a game where Simpson was in attendance, causing Terrell to claim that Jess was “not a fan favorite – in this locker room or in Texas Stadium.” Now, T.O.’s changed his tune:

T.O. serves as ‘hero’ to sports writer after being hit by car

As part of an all-out Terrell Owens bash session on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown , Cowboys legend Emmitt Smith said that receiver T.O. needs to be quiet. In the studio, Tom Jackson, Mike Ditka, Cris Carter, and Keyshawn Johnson each made excellent points regarding the potential consequences of Owens’ decision to piss and moan about not getting the ball more than he did during Sunday’s 26-24 loss to the Redskins.“We know the ending,” Jackson said of Owens’ past habit of calling out his quarterbacks. Jeff Garcia experienced it in San Fran, and Donovan McNabb got some of it in Philly. So despite T.O.’s January crocodile tears for Tony ...

Catfish and I discussed this issue and found we have diverging views. Brady, McNabb, Manning — and Money
LEEInks —
While football purists might believe that a love for the game is all that sustains the players they adore and admire, it’s wishful thinking to assume that money doesn’t play a significant role too. Once you get past the sentimentality – Favre’s emotional retirement speech, T.O.’s tearful defense of Tony Romo, Rudy – it’s safe to say that a considerable element of football revolves around dollars and cents.
Now money may not buy you or me happiness, but it seems in the NFL it can buy a quarterback’s happiness.

Without a quarterback to criticize, Owens takes aim at his realtor
Shutdown Corner —
Terrell Owens has burned bridges with every quarterback he's ever played with, so why should real estate agents be any different? The ever-courteous T.O. blasted his former real estate agent, Maureen Flavin, on his Twitter account today after she publicly revealed that he had signed a rental contract on a 4,500 square foot home in Orchard Park, NY. W/THE RELEASE OF MY POTENTIAL RENTAL @ 34 WOODTHRUSH TR, I WILL NOT B RENTING DUE 2 THE UNPROFESSIONALISM OF MAUREEN FLAVIN!! Except for use of all caps and abbreviating "be" with ...
Silver: Cowboys Cut T.O. To Empower Romo
ProFootballTalk.com —
Our pal Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports has gotten to the bottom of the Cowboys’ surprising-but-not-unexpected decision in early March to poopcan the popcorn-eating wideout with a penchant for dropping passes. (Possibly because of the popcorn ...
5 emotional moments caught on tape
No Guts, No Glory —
Men are suppose to be tough, stern and emotionless, right. We've been taught that crying is reserved for girls or punks not men. While I don't see any thing wrong with men getting emotional, I believe publicly shed tears should occur only when there is a death. These athletes obviously didn't get the memo. ...
Preseason Confessions: I dislike members of my team
Ladies... —
In other words, I hate TO. I do somewhat love to hate him too, so it’s all relatively easy for me. Yes, he’s a great player. Yes, he could really help out the poor Bills. But doesn’t matter – my mind is made up about him and I just plain do NOT like him at ALL. And in light of yesterday’s ...
Soundbytes Of The Decade - #7 Terrell Owens
Randall Simon's Sausages —
Get your popcorn ready, because it's our #7 Soundbyte of the Decade. Terrell Owens had already done a lot in the years leading up to the 2008 playoffs. He had autographed a ball during a game with a Sharpie hidden in his sock. He had ailienated quarterbacks from San Francisco, to Philadelphia, to Dallas. He'd done sit ups in his driveway. You name the weird stunt performed to draw more attention to oneself, TO had done it. Over the decade, TO became one of the most polarizing, recognizable, controversial figures in sports. ...
Cryin' Shame: Rodriguez Another in Long Line of Sports Tear Shedders
The Legend of Cecilio Guante —
He Won't be the First or the Last Rich Rodriguez shed a tear in a press conference earlier today. It doesn't make him any less of a man. Surely it's not the first time an athlete or coach has fought back a few tears -- or unabashedly let them flow down their cheeks like rain. We need to get over our ...

Week two blogpoll roundtable
Bleed Scarlet —
Thanks to College Gameballs for the questions this week.
1. Which freshman impressed you more last weekend: the California dream Matt Barkley who quarterbacked USC over tOSU or white lightening Tate Forcier who slashed through Notre Dame? Which one would you like to have on your team? Feel free to write in ...
Meltdown mania
LEEInks —
Even with NFL kickoff weekend looming large in the minds of sports fans across the nation, a little-known tennis tournament held in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., managed to garner some attention on Saturday. Two points from being upset by Kim Clijsters, Serena Williams was called for a foot fault, the line judge claiming her foot went over the baseline on her serve.
Williams had not been playing her best tennis, and the ensuing fit she pitched is on par with some of the best athlete meltdowns.
The best part is when she yells out, “Are you serious?!” ...
T.O.'s 2 Cents
The Yankee Princess Sports Blog —
Terrell Owens "re-Tweeted" the following message, after the Cowboys loss to the Giants: "Dallas just found out they had a T.R. problem not a T.O. problem !!" I guess since Tony Romo is no longer his quarterback, all bets are ...
Terrell Owens Wants to Act After Football Career Is Over
FanHouse —
by Ryan Wilson Filed under: TV and Movies, NFL Terrell Owens wants to act. Which seems perfectly logical when you remember his over-the-top performance after the "That's my quarterback" playoff loss. There was also the preemptive apology press conference he held earlier this summer where he took the blame for, well, everything. Throw in Joanna Krupa clowning him on Superstars, as well as the T.O. Show, and his after-football acting aspirations make sense. And Owens happily admitted as much during a conference call with New ...
Da Bears to Da Super Bowl?
BlitzNation —
[image] Yesterday was a great day to be a fan of da Bears, as they put any hopes of a Detroit Lions two game winning streak on hold, and picked up the 48-24 victory. Now sure, it was the Detroit Lions, the two who had previously went an entire calendar year (and then some) without a win. But da Bears looked good. The defense was quite shaky in the first half, though that may be an understatement. Any time you give up 21 points to the Lions in a game, that’s bad. But when you give up 21 points to the Lions in a half, that’s really bad. Lovie got the defense turned around though in the second half, and that’s all that matters. But ...
[INSERT NEGATIVE CLICHE]: Week 4
Herm's Perm: Overpaid to Underperform —
Rain on a parade. The bitter pill. Debbie Downer. If you read my previous post, you may have gotten the impression I am all of these. Well guess what? Your impression is dead-on (though still not as good as Dave Coulier's Bullwinkle*). I'm a ruiner, a spoiler, a ...
A Quick, Fake Summary: That Was Our Quarterback
Kentucky Sports Radio —
After a week of talking about Quarterback options that don’t involve Mike Hartline, we got to see what that scenario would look like. And it doesn’t look that great. Kentucky loses to South Carolina (again) 28-26 . After a first half that showed good production and decision making (9/12 comp/attempts, 139 yard and 1 TD), Mike had two incompletions in his first drive of the second half. His second incompletion would be his last play in the game, as he was hit on the knee and did not return to the game. (FS South reported that Kentucky officials believe Mike has a sprained knee, but is awaiting further testing.) Stepping in was Henderson, ...
Top Ten Players I'd Like The Smack Silly
Reservation For Six —
Heres a list of the top ten NFL players I'd like to smack..... enjoy Yeah, Just like that well anyways, while I'm warming up here is my list 1. Martellus Bennett TE Dallas Cowboys: The dude is dumber than Jerry Jones is rich. He was smart enough to create a black olympics, where he had events like watermellon eating. Marty, if your going to be an annoyance, back it up on the field. SLAP! 2. Mike Vanderjagt PK Free Agent: Has there ever been a player I have hated worse. I dont ...
Who Says Big Boys Can’t Cry?
LEEInks —
Big men love the big talk. Numerous athletes love to paint themselves as macho, tough guys who make Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci appear timorous in comparison.
Yet, if there is one thing Rex Ryan taught us this week (unless you remained stuck on Bill Belichick fourth-and-2 overload), these brawny, intimidating and ferocious professional sports personnel can have a soft spot underneath their body armor.
One day after the Jets‘ 24-22 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday, Ryan let his emotions get the best of him as he cried in front of his players during a team meeting Monday morning. Known for the ...
