Mariners vs Rangers Bench Clearing Brawl - Video
D Wizzle's World — This took place tonight in the Mariners vs Rangers game in the bottom of the 4th inning.

Richie Sexson: ‘Gutless .200-Hitting Joke’
Larry Brown Sports — Though the game featured two teams well below .500, the Thursday night matchup between Texas and Seattle had no shortage of entertainment. Felix Hernandez had already hit two Rangers in the game, including catcher Gerald Laird, so Richie Sexson came up to the plate in the 4th anticipating he would be thrown at. After shaking off Laird twice, Kason Gabbard finally semi-succumbed to Laird’s request by throwing high — not inside — on Sexson. An entertaining fight broke out, and to completely enjoy it, make sure your volume is turned up (a full transcription is after the jump in case you can’t listen). A complete replay of the incident ...

Mountain Sized Richie Sexson Makes Molehill Out of Kason Gabbard
FanHouse — Filed under: Dallas, Seattle, Mariners, Rangers, AL West, MLB VideoLet's set the scene for those who don't stay up all hours watching west coast baseball: Felix Hernandez comes inside and plunks Ian Kinsler on the shoulder in the fourth inning of the Rangers' tilt with the Mariners. This came after Kinsler took King Felix deep in the second inning, so of course, tensions are going to be a little high after that. Bottom of the frame, Kason Gabbard takes the mound for the Rangers and retires the first two hitters he faces. Then he throws a pitch eye-high, but not so tight at Richie ...

Throw the ball at Richie Sexson, He’ll throw his helmet back at you
Hail Mary Jane — During the fourth inning of last nights Mariners/Rangers game, Richie Sexson took offense to a pitch by the Rangers Kason Gabbard.  Gabbard threw a high and tight pitch at Sexson, very high and very tight.  It just barely missed his face. Thats nothing new in baseball but Richie Sexson is 6′8 so if your trying to hit him, theres a lot to go for besides his head.  Sexson didn’t like the pitch too much and rushed the mound, throwing his helmet at Gabbard in the process…. ...

Rangers’ Announcer Tom Grieve Doesn't Seem To Like Richie Sexson
AwfulAnnouncing — Bugs and Cranks has video of the Rangers and Mariners playing the feud last night, and announcer Tom Grieve doesn't seem to respect Richie Sexson decision to charge the mound.... In fairness to Sexson, the Mariners' Felix Hernandez had hit two batters in the previous inning and he was charging on anything close. I've also never seen a helmet throw land like that. Fun times. Update: Here is the full thing, and as right as the Rangers announcers are about the situation....they do go a little overboard with the Sexson ...

If You Like Richie Sexson Bashing ...
wrigleyville23 — From the Rangers broadcasters (paraphrasing): "If they want to hit someone, they would hit a good hitter - not Sexson, who couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat." "Gutless 6-foot-7, .200 hitting formerly good player." "If you want to fight, fight. But throw a helmet at a guy?" Video via Awful Announcing.

VIDEO: Mariners/Rangers bench-clearing brawl
bugsandcranks.com 5/9/2008 — Richie Sexson’s decision to charge the mound on this “purpose” pitch from Kason Gabbard pretty much highlights his knowledge of the strike zone. Rangers’ announcer Tom Grieve might have dropped the quote of the year: “That is a gutless, 6-foot-7, .200-hitting, formerly good player.”
Sexson Charges The Mound
soxanddawgs.com 5/9/2008 — After Seattle Mariners starter Felix Hernandez hit two Texas Rangers hitters, former Boston Red Sox prospect and current Ranger Kason Gabbard did what any normal pitcher would do. He buzzed one of the other team’s stars. I do have to say the pitch wasn’t close to hitting him but obviously Sexson thought it was.
Richie Sexson is not a zombie?!?!Wax Heaven
When I was 15 years old I thought Richie Sexson was bound for glory. My theory was a bit skewed but somewhat logical. You see, Jose Canseco was 6′4 and hit 44 home runs once, Mark McGwire was just an inch taller and hit 52 in 1996 so what do I make of Sexson, who stood 6 feet 8 inches? 100 home runs, maybe more? Of course, it didn’t quite work out that way and for the most part ...
Richie Sexson is a bad manEBSports Blog
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzGywBeWT6Q Last night, during the Rangers/Mariners game that about 4 people were watching, Mariners 1st basemen Richie Sexson took objection to a pitch that was high, but about 83 feet from him. I mean honestly, the pitch was closer to my chin than yours, Richie. Anyway, being the little girl he is, he charged the mound in [...]
Richie Sexson is a PunkMac Gs World
Mariners 1B Richie Sexson charges the mound after freaking out by a high fastball that was nowhere near his head. Rangers color man Tom grieve deftly describes Sexson's cowardly act. "That is a gutless six foot seven, 200 hitting, formerly good player, what a joke" Sexson better be careful or the number one Rangers fan in America, President GW Bush will sick the NSA on him for this punk ...
Yardwork: FIGHT!The Big Lead
Rangers 5, Mariners 0: Richie Sexson was hit by a pitch (read: the ball didn’t hit him and wasn’t even close to doing so) on a day when his team failed to score a run, so he felt compelled to brawl. Safe to say he was frustrated, perhaps because he’s not earning his pay. You can view the video right here . Rangers announcer Tom Grieve drops the quote of the night in the ...
Mariners Richie Sexson vs Rangers Kason Gabbard Bench Clearing FightFanIQ Blog
We had't had a good bench clearing, batter storming the mound fight this year. Thanks to Richie Sexson's lunacy that's been corrected. Like these Rangers announcers, you'll have some trouble figuring out why Sexson charges the mound. The pitch doesn't hit him. You'll hear that broadcaster Tom Grieve isn't a big fan: "That pitch wasn't even close. That pitch is a foot ...
Today In Very Obvious News: Richie Sexson is a ToolFive Tool Tool - The Sports Blog That Loves You Back
Tonight in Seattle, Richie Sexson charged the mound to attack Rangers pitcher Kason Gabbard on a ball that was over the middle of the plate and two feet away from being a called strike. He was anticipating contact following a couple of plunked hitters, including some obvious headhunting by King Felix Hernandez on Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler. Normally, I could care about baseball ...

Like the Thunderdome Tonight the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners will box. And play a little baseball. Less than a week after Richie Sexon flipped out and threw a helmet at Kason Gabbard , the Rangers are throwing Vicente Padilla out there and he's so crazy he might throw at the heads of random Mariners announcers and players' wives. Anyway, your fight card: Flyweight German Duran ...
