I'll be the first to admit that I just didn't think the Lakers had enough. I couldn't for the life of me understand how Pau Gasol, Derrick Fisher, and Lamar Odom were going to be enough for Kobe to take the team to the next level. Boy was I wrong. One hell of a Spurs - Lakers game from last night, no? It almost came down to the wire, and it certainly came down to the wire if you bet on the game. Lakers -7 is the rough spread I believe. Maybe you got it at 7.5. Or maybe 6.5. Hell, even 6.

Up five with less than ten seconds to go, Pop and the Spurs decided to throw in the proverbial white towel by not fouling. Classy move. But rather than dribble out the clock — like any sane human being — Sasha "The Machine" Vujacic figured he'd launch an uncontested three. And it went in. Final score: 100-92 Lakers. Woops! Yes, Machine wreck Spurs +7.5 spread. Vegas not happy with Machine. Boo hoo. Machine do not care.

Ok so if you would’ve told me in the beginning of the season that the Lakers would be going to the NBA finals, I would’ve thought you were crazy but somehow Kobe and crew managed to pull it together and become the top team in the west.
Congrats to them for their success, congrats to the Spurs for a great season even though it wasn’t quite enough, and WTF is wrong with Sasha Vujacic. I will explain after the video.
