TheHype +3I'm loving these...up until the tag line...which just made me scream: HIGHLANDER!! -
MrThell I think it's a little weird to have all these guys echo the exact same, scripted thing when it's supposed to be like a personal and emotional statement.
PS: If Kevin Garnett doesn't win a title this year or next I might cry.

And One One face, one game? -
Patrick It was a strange little video, especially considering the personal message that MrThell mentioned. However, I did like that when talking about winning it all, Lebron said "Jordan" while KG said "Bird" simultaneously (or at least that's what it sounded like they said).-
Ben Q. Rock Good catch. That's what they said.

Playoffs 2007-08. How Sweet It Is.
Published 4/6/2008 by Gary Mercado at Basketball Exchange
I woke up this morning (true story), feeling uninspired. But as my head rolled around my pillow trying to think of what to do today, I caught site of some memorabilia of a time when I interviewed someone from the NBA two years ago, and I realized something. Something that woke me up immediately.
I realized that it’s nearly the Playoffs. Now, doesn’t that get you excited? Is this mic on? Are you hearing me clearly? It’s . The . Playoffs. ...

LeBron and KG Split the Screen in the Latest NBA Playoff Commercial
Published 4/8/2008 by Brett Edwards at FanHouse
Filed under: Celtics, Cavaliers, NBA Playoffs, NBA Videos We already showed you the shocking reunion of Shaq and Kobe, for the sheer purpose of getting us geeked for the NBA Playoffs. Did it work? Hell yes. And in case you're repping the East coast instead of the West like me, you should get a kick out of LeBron James and Kevin Garnett doing their part to bring the hype to the postseason.
Not to be a buzzkill here, but LeBron couldn't possibly remember "seeing Bird win it all," since he would have been less than two ...

LeBron James, Kevin Garnett Playoff Promo
Published 4/9/2008 by Scott at WaitingForNextYear
Though the Cavaliers aren’t exactly taking the world (or Eastern conference, for that matter) by storm, LeBron James continues to be the face of the NBA. Here’s hoping that his marketability can at least stick around through a few rounds of the post-season. For now, check out the promotional video that pits James against Boston’s Kevin Garnett. Anyone thinking that LBJ “remembering” Jordan winning it all coincides with “The Shot?” We just can’t shake it, can we? (big thanks to Hardwood Paroxysm ...
'There Can Only Be One' NBA playoff commercials
Published 4/9/2008 at Ball Don't Lie
By now you've no doubt seen the NBA's latest commercials. The ads, which are part of the new "There Can Only Be One" postseason campaign, feature two players split-screen talking in unison about the playoffs. Dramatic stuff. The first spot, featuring Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant, was an instant hit. The second, featuring LeBron James and Kevin Garnett, is just as good: Sports Business Daily -- via Sports Media Watch -- informs us that the campaign will feature 25 ads and include players from all 16 playoff teams. Pretty cool. But I've been told ...
Today in incredible advertising
Published 4/10/2008 by PostmanE at The Postmen // A Sports Blog // Chicago, IL.
For a league that has so many supposed image problems, the NBA’s recent marketing efforts are nothing short of top-notch. If you can successfully watch this commercial and not end up excited about the impending NBA Playoffs, your soul is rotting from the inside out. OK, OK … maybe not your soul, per se. That might just be your lungs. Too much meth will do that, you know.
And now you know. Thanks, Montana!

The first is Lebron & KG…
Follow that up with Kobe/Shaq.

I was so psyched after seeing this ad… I elbowed by elderly neighbor in the solar plexus… then drove to see my 4 year-old nephew so I could dunk on him on his nerf hoop.
Oh man…. forget everything I posted before about being worried…

Only 4 games to play in the regular season. My how time flies when you're having fun. With only 4 games left, I expect Doc to try to get into a regular rotation in the remaining games but also try to keep the starters minutes down as much as possible. Tonight's game against Milwaukee has absolutely no meaning for either ...

Apparently there are people out there who are uninquisitive. People who don't like thinking. People who are willing to accept the world as it is. People who don't ask why. People who don't drink Bud Dry. Those people probably shouldn't read any further. For the rest of you, I had an epiphany the other day that I want to share. Actually, it was more of a question or dilemma or a ponderance. Whatever. Has anyone yet researched who the best baseball fielders are in pressure situations? We often hear that Team A has a XYZ batting average in late inning pressure situations (LIPS), but we never hear what player or team plays the best defense in ...
NBA Ads *Synchronized Blink* Haunt My Dreams *Synchronized Blink*
Published 4/21/2008 by Albert Bianchi at Dejuiced! Sports News with No Boundaries
This weekend, the wildly anticipated NBA playoffs began. And while there were some great games, for me, the lasting image is half-Kobe-half-Shaq lecturing me on fear. Though the commercials have been around for a while now, they’ve received heavy rotation during the playoffs. I actually thought the commercials were pretty neat, if a bit unsettling. I was especially impressed how they managed to sync up the speech from each player to create an odd stereo effect. I was noting this when my friend brought their eyes to my attention. They blink at the same time! Ahhhhhh! Don’t believe me, check for yourself. ...

Garnett helped the Celtics to league-best records of 66-16 (.805) overall and 31-10 (.738) on the road. Boston held opponents to just 90.3 points (second in the NBA) after allowing 99.2 points per game a season ago. Garnett led the Celtics to the ...

You know the annoying NBA playoff ads that tell us " There Can Only Be One " that we see over and over and over again? Yeah, they were cool. The first time we saw them. But what if those were made for other sports? Say baseball and using Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens? How about football using Peyton and Eli Manning? Golf? Tiger Woods? You betcha! Nicely done, Ben and Eric .
