Solid. Hey kids, if you want off school one Saturday each year, Louisville is the place for you. Think D. Wayne.

More on the Derby

ESPN really needs a shake-up in how they do things. They’ve basically turned into the sports version of MTV. MTV used to play music nearly non-stop, but now it’s turned into the one channel that is provided for you in hell. Nearly 24 hours of reality television. ESPN is Titletown U.S.A. and Who’s Now? and My Wish and The Bronx is Burning.

WHY ESPN'S TITLETOWN IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS IDEA IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS

By: Jarrett Carter, Stet Sports Blog Factoring in all levels of athletic competition, there's sure to be one place that produces more championships and champions then any other are. And you could name it 'Titletown.' And if you did that, like ESPN is ...

Ohio State Fans Hate Titletown

Thursday’s event at OSU (Columbus's TitleTown segment) – which was held between St. John Arena and Ohio Stadium – was similar to ESPN’s College GameDay program. Wendi Nix was the host and she interviewed two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin on the set (one of his Heismans was also perched on the set). Over 200 Ohio State fans showed up dressed in full Buckeye gear. TWO HUNDRED!

It’s the really ugly, cold place on the suburbs of Titletown. We’re not visiting it. We’re bashing it! And we want your help! SCOTT JACOBS In honor of ESPN’s horrifically dumb idea to turn 20 places into Titletown, the good folks at Juiced Spots figured, what if you flip the script. What if there was a competition for the Anti-Title town? The area so bad, that ...
Hey, ESPN: Mike McColgan Says Boston is Titletown, USA…
ESPN is busy telling us who Titletown, USA is, and they even have profiled a few high school teams and Ivy League schools and stuff. While Los Angeles might be able to make an argument for Titletown, USA, I sadly agree with Mike McColgan, frontman for the Street Dogs, whom I interviewed yesterday that Boston is Titletown, USA, and I’m sure J Rose agrees as well. Since ESPN’s ...
Did Ohio State Fans Snub ESPN’s Titletown?
Confession: We are unable to grasp this Titletown concept. Best we can tell, from the 14 seconds we have watched of it this summer: ESPN arbitrarily determined which ‘towns’ across the country excel in sports, and then tried to bring a Gameday feel to said towns. (Fine, we may have watched slightly more than 14 seconds, but only when Wendi Nix was featured. If she wasn’t a ...
ESPN Titletown Draws Several Dozen Buckeye Fans
We’re going to start a fight on here today. It looks like Michigan ( and its United Nations of Dorks ) drew more people to its Titletown taping than Thee Ohio State University. Buck fans will cry about the 10:30 kickoff, but that is no excuse, folks. True, if Erin Andrews was in town instead of Wendi Nix it might have been a different story.
Does Anyone Think this ESPN "Titletown" Thing is Anything Less than an Excuse to Crown Boston?
It's almost as stupid as last year's "Who's Next?" competition. Seriously though, it's obvious it's a setup to give Boston the title. Besides it being stupid and me not caring at all about the results, when teh inevitable happens it will simply go to further show ESPN's love for Beantown.
July is the lonliest month: How about a Pep Rally Thursday!
So what if it’s July. So what if it’s summer session and most of the students have left campus for the summer. Who cares that it’s being held at 10:30 a.m. on a Thursday morning. ESPN has some serious marketing to do and it just can’t wait until football season actually starts. So with that in mind, I received a press release from the p.r. dept. at ESPN about ...

Nothing really exciting happened in this clip below but I thought you'd still like to see the King and Queen of the prom speaking to their Court. Enjoy! And again, I don't know how a city that doesn't have any professional teams would win ...
ESPN’s Titletown
You can tell that it’s summertime…. How? Because ESPN is running some ridiculous segment during SportsCenter and hyping it to be the most important thing you’ll ever see. This year - ESPN is trying to figure out which city in the United States is ‘Titletown’ . I’m more interested in more baseball highlights than shoving this stuff in my face. Do I really ...
