Tony Romo Gets Booed, Shows He Can't Sing
Published 5/12/2008 by Michael David Smith at FanHouse
Filed under: Bears, Chicago, DallasDallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field today before the Cubs-Diamondbacks game, and he was roundly booed. Then he sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and got booed some more: Romo grew up in Burlington, Wisconsin, 75 miles from Chicago, and he played at Eastern Illinois, and he's apparently a Cubs fan. But really, it's probably not the best idea to bring in football players for teams other than the Bears. Was there any doubt that they'd boo him? Also: His singing voice ...

Hey Romo, Stick to Holding Punts
Published 5/12/2008 by Stuart Scotts Eye at ROFL Sports
Tony Romo is a born and raised Wisconsin boy. He attended Eastern Illinois University. He claims to be a Cubs fan. But, no Cubs fan would do this. I am a born and raised Marylander/Washingtonian. I grew up a fan of the Orioles, the Capitals, the Redskins, and the Bullets (never the Wizards for me!). I have lived in Chicagoland for over 10 years and have been a die-hard Cubs fan since. Even I know the words to the song. It is a 100 years old! It is as common place as Itsy Bitsy Spider, Rockabye Baby, and even Pour Some Sugar On Me. WTF, Tony. They use a ...

As a singer Tony Romo makes a great quarterback

Tony Romo maybe should have taken some singing lessons from his GFF Jessica Simpson before embarking on singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame at Wrigley on Sunday. Yeessh...

Tony Romo Keeps Showing Up And We Don’t Care
Published 5/12/2008 by jason at SPORTSbyBROOKS
Perhaps inspired by his lady love Jessica Simpson (who obviously was re-inspired by him for her next album ), Tony Romo took his windpipe to the Windy City to try and wow the denizens of Wrigley Field (try being the operative word). Tony Romo Chicago Cubs The Cowboys QB was invited to sing during the seventh-inning stretch of Sunday’s Cubs game. And as Michael David Smith of AOL FANHOUSE belts out, he wasn’t a welcomed sight (with video after the jump). During his introduction, Romo was treated to a chorus of boos - the same reaction he got when he threw out the game’s first pitch. And once the song started, Tony ...

Tony Romo 'sings' at Wrigley Field
Published 5/12/2008 at Shutdown Corner
Okay, so Tony Romo isn't very good at singing. That doesn't stop his girlfriend from doing it. At least Romo has the good sense to yank the microphone away from his mouth every now and then.

Don't ever pay to hear Tony Romo sing
Published 5/12/2008 by Cormac (noreply@blogger.com) at BOSTON IRISH
Those Cubs fans are merciless! Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field Sunday before the Cubs-Diamondbacks game, and he was roundly booed. Later on in the game he reappeared to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and got booed even worse. Why was he there in the first place? Romo grew up in Burlington, Wisconsin, 75 miles from Chicago, and he played at Eastern Illinois, and he's apparently a Cubs fan. However, seeing as: A: He plays for the Dallas Cowboys B: He can not sing at all He was ...

Tony Romo Sucks
Published 5/12/2008 by Fornelli (noreply@blogger.com) at Foul Balls
There aren't many NFL teams whom I'm groomed to hate more than the Green Bay Packers, but if there's ever been another franchise that I just can't stand, it's the Dallas Cowboys. America's Team my ass. So even though I understand that he went to Eastern Illinois, I don't get why the Cubs chose Tony Romo to throw out a first pitch and sing the stretch. I mean, he's from Brewers country, and he's a Dallas Cowboy. Thankfully, he sucked.

Romo makes Harry Caray sound like Jessica Simpson

I talked to Terrell Owens today. Yes, I know I should have asked him about Tony Romo's singing. Alas, I did not.
