You're not going to believe this -- wait, yes you are -- but I missed my connecting flight to New Orleans earlier this afternoon because -- get this -- my plane left five minutes early. Early! You cannot make this stuff up, people. I was sitting one section over from my boarding gate so I could plug my laptop into an open outlet, when lo-and-behold, I noticed I had about 15 minutes to go before my flight's scheduled departure. OK, no worries, right? I quickly pack up my things, stroll over to the gate -- with trusty Claiborne in hand -- and get out my ticket. ...
