Awesome Game-Winning Lateral Play

I can't count all the laterals, but this shows why conditioning is so important. I can't imagine why the defense didn't just collectively say "F*** this, let's set up shop at the five" ...

Trinity laterals 15 times to beat Milsap in a thriller!! Here is a secret. I know this is not SEC. It is division 3. I do not care. This is an amazing comeback. This might be one of the best ever. It will most definitely win an ESPY or two. sec football ...

Trinity (Tx.) totally pwned the special teams noobz of Northwestern, 1980 Minnessota Vikings, Middlesex College. "That might be one of the most sensational, most incredible endings in all of Division III !!!" ~Bill Swint calls it like he sees 'em.

Filed under: Florida Football, NCAA FB Campus, NCAA FB Fans, NCAA FB VideoYippee! In an act of total psychological repression, I'm actively ignoring the horse manure I stumbled across in Jacksonville, Florida. In its place? This incredible Division III football play: There you see the Trinity Tigers using 14 -- or is it 15? -- laterals to overcome a 24-22 deficit with 2 seconds remaining on the clock.Incidentally, I think Milsap (wearing the purple people eater outfits) took some tackling lessons from the Florida Gators. Nice job playing ...

Holy Laterals Batman

I don’t think you will ever see anything like this again. Trinty (TX) was trailing Millsap 24-22 at the end of their Division III football game on Saturday afternoon. They needed 61 yards to score a touchdown to win the game. The only way to do this was with a long hailmary pass and a prayer or to run a hook and ladder or just keep lateraling the ball. They chose the latter and the rest is history.
I lost count after 10 but watched it again to count them all. The final total of laterals was 15 and Trinty (TX) won the game 28-24.

Really, is there anything else left to say? There were like 15 laterals there for Trinity University of San Antonio and it all resulted in a 24-22 win over [Paul] Millsap.

The lateral-tastic maneuver was straight out of the Cal playbook. However, Trinity missed the part where you clobber a trombone player. Read Story.

... not sure if you caught this over the weekend, but it’s certainly one of those plays you will never forget. Check out the finish to the DIII match up between Trinity (TX) and Millsaps on Saturday:
I’m seriously still wondering how NOBODY made the tackle. Follow the ball — can’t be too hard. Nevertheless, quite exciting.

Trinity College (San Antonio) sure knows how to lateral -- it led to a 28-24 win on the last play of their D-III win over Millsaps (Jackson, Miss.)You just know Millsaps fans went home and stared at two things: a.) an empty glass of Scotch and b.) the barrel of a gun.THE BAND IS OUT ON THE FIELD EXCEPT THESE SCHOOLS ARE TOO SMALL TO HAVE BANDS!!!!!More, accurate, actual information at your home for college football, The Wizard of Odds.

Kudos to ...Division III Trinity College. This might be the most amazing lateral play you will ever see.The Boston Red Sox. God, I hate it, but the Red Sox have now won two World Series titles in four years. With a slew of young talent, Boston is set up to be a dominant team for the next 8-10 years. Get used to it, Yankee fans. Remember that sense of entitlement you used to feel during the late '90s and early 2000s? Probably right up until Game 7 of the 2004 ALCS? Well, now that's what they feel in ...

Worst tie. Coach Fulmer's, on his Sunday morning television show. I mean, did you see that thing? Yikes. Purple, red, and blue splotches with a yellow shirt. I hope that was a joke I missed or something. Best where-have-you-been-all-my-life. Linebacker Ryan Karl, who seemed to be everywhere at once in the first half, racking up TFLs, tipping passes, and generally wreaking havoc. He had a timely interception in the second half, too. Biggest man crush. Me, on Eric Berry, who was an absolute monster, again, primarily in the first half. Dude finished the game with 12 tackles, one fumble recovery (and a ...

I know this is all over the place, and I'm like 3 days late compared to all the other really good, better-than-mine sports blogs, but what the fuck, this clip deserves a place in the Hall of Fame for Awesomeness. Congrats to Trinity University of San Antonio for their 300-million-lateral play to win with no time left against Millsap(?). My question is, why don't the D1 teams do this on every kickoff? What? Because it's unnecessarily risky, unrefined, and almost never works? I'm calling bullshit, I've only seen like two of these plays, and they both worked. That's a 100% win rate, right there. Damn, I'm smart. Obviously, I should coach college ...

More often than not, watching Div III college football is similar to watching the WNBA. The rules are the same and the effort is there, but it is usually pretty ugly and not all that exciting. This past weekend, the Trinity (TX) Tigers proved that even small colleges no one has heard of can make a play worthy of being mentioned on an elite blahg such as brahsome.com. It's tough to say whether this was a moment of brilliance for the Tigers or whether it was simply a case of the Millsaps Majors playing god awful defense. I'm leaning towards the latter. Either way, it's always fun to watch a team ...
