Troy Polamalu's Interception Against the Chargers
Pittsburgh Sports and Mini Ponies - Pittsburgh Sports Videos, Humor and Crack Analysis. And Ridiculously Small Horses —
What a pick. And it wasn't even Troy's best this year. Remember the one he had in the Eagles game ? Troy missed a few that hit him directly in the hands the past coupla weeks. I guess he just has a flair for the dramatic. Speechless.

The refs screwed up, and Vegas is, allegedly, reaping the benefits.
I’ll comment on this further as soon as the room stops spinning. I do have a question though. Was it just me or was the camera angle on the potential spread covering Parker TD that was called back due to a hold incredibly poor? Did anyone actually witness McHugh hold with their own eyes?
I ask because the answer to that question is a huge piece of the puzzle. Obviously I will have more on this game Tuesday. Enjoy the video clip while you can. There is no way it lasts until ...

Troy Polamalu's Amazing One Handed Interception For The Pittsburgh Steelers Against The San Diego Chargers
FanIQ Blog —
Troy Polamalu made this interception against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, for one of the most incredible catches we've seen all year. He grabbed the ball with one hand inches before it his the ground, and held on for the pick, which was confirmed by instant replay.
Here's another video of it, in slow motion:
Referee Wrongly Takes TD From Troy Polamalu And Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers Cover. The Fix Is In?
FanIQ Blog —
In case you haven't noticed, the refereeing this year has been pretty awful. And for some reason, a few of the high profile examples of this have happened in games involving the Chargers. The latest example of this inexplicable officiating was when they took away a late TD by Troy Polamalu on an illegal forward pass call. After the game, referee Scott Green admitted that the Steelers should have been given the TD, and that they made a mistake.
Fans who took the Steelers against the spread (-4.5) were pretty upset with the call at the end of the game, which changed the final score ...
This Just In: Polamalu is Amazing
D.C. Steeler Nation —
The defense didn't play a perfect game yesterday, but between Troy Polamalu and James Harrison alone, they came up with a season's worth of huge plays. And, hey, at least that unit didn't get reamed by Brandon Jacobs the way the Ravens did.

Wild Ending to Chargers-Steelers Game Was Costly Mistake
RealClearSports - Blog —
The Pittsburgh Steelers edged the San Diego Chargers yesterday, 11-10, and if you saw the game, you know it ended in a rather peculiar fashion. To refresh:
So, the refs took the TD off the board which gave us the final of 11-10 (in fact, the first time an NFL game has ever ended that way). But wait! After the game, the officials admitted that they indeed made a mistake, and the Troy Polamalu score should have counted.
''We should have let the play go through in the end, yes,'' Green said. ''It was misinterpreted that instead of killing the play, we should have ...

Can't Stop The Bleeding —
Does it really matter if the Steelers beat the Chargers 11-10 or 17-10 yesterday? Your answer might well depend on whether or not you had loot riding on the outcome, writes the Las Vegas Journal’s Matt Youmans, while self-styled gamblin’ guru RJ Bell of Pregame.com declared “If the touchdown was properly upheld, Steelers bettors would have won about 32 million dollars instead of losing big. This admittedly incorrect call resulted in a 64 million dollar swing in favor of the bookies.”
There’s no shortage of wig-flipping ...

Quotes from this article. _ I didn’t have any money invested in this game, but the hoopla that is become of the situation, partly fueled by this guy’s “numbers”, has annoyed the hell out of me. This may have to do with me being on my 10th cup of coffee, and two finals anxiously waiting to kick my ass ...
Mike Tomlin Could've Saved Official Embarrassment of Not Knowing Rules
FanHouse —
by Ryan Wilson Filed under: Chargers, Steelers, AFC North, AFC West, NFL Fans, NFL Coaching, NFL Referees Salon's King Kaufman makes a solid point: while it's easy (and fun!) to blame the officials for bungling another end-of-game call that affected the final score, it didn't have to come to that in Pittsburgh yesterday afternoon. Referee Scott Green has been exposed as a fraud, but if Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin wasn't such an awful clock manager, we'd be none the wiser. Unfortunately, ...
Week 11 Wrap-up

Steelers’ assistant coaches stink | Home Week 11 Wrap-up By Dagger | November 18, 2008 I guess this game will forever be remembered by the last play of the game. We posted a Youtube video of the last play a little while after the game thinking it was just a fluky ending to a weird game. Sure it cost us (and a lot of other people) some cash and a fantasy football victory, but it wasn’t a real big deal right? Well a few minutes after posting the video it was picked up by Profootballtalk.com, it now has 33,000 views and over 100 comments on YouTube, and according to YouTube data, it’s the: And always a nice wrapup to ...

BOSTON IRISH —
Always fun to kick a post off with a little 'I know a guy who knows a fella'. In this case, I know a guy who knows someone in Vegas and this guy tells me that after the crazy Steelers v Chargers game on the weekend, with the Steelers having a late, late touchdown called back incorrectly, there was a borderline riot in the sports books, with people throwing chairs and tables and acting a little crazy in general. ...
NFL Adds Second Instant Replay Referee After Blown Polamalu Play
The Biz of Football :: Part of the Business of Sports Network —
The NFL has added a second instant replay referee to take notes on the lead-reviewer after last week’s botched call between the Chargers and Steelers. The play, in which Steelers safety Troy Polamalu picked up a fumbled ball and then steamed 12 yards for a touchdown. After reviewing the instant replay, referee Scott Green reversed the touchdown with time expired saying it was due to an illegal forward pass by the Chargers. But, in a statement by the league, while confusing, the play was overturned erroneously: There were three passes on the play. The first was a completed forward pass from San Diego's Philip Rivers ...
