Reserve power forward monster Jason Maxiell had quite a moment Sunday afternoon during the second quarter of the Detroit Pistons’ 105-84 thumping of the New Orleans Hornets. As Hubie Brown pointed out during the replay, note that the 6-7 Maxiell still has both feet planted on the floor when Tyson Chandler catches the alley-oop pass in front of the rim. Pistons fans have known for a long time that J-Maxx has some serious ups, but this is just ridiculous.

Here’s a mighty fine put back slam from LeBron James last night against the Hornets. Since ESPN hearts them some LBJ you know it was #1 on their countdown. By the way, how many frick’n jerseys do the Cavs have? Nothing like capitalizing on James’ popularity huh?
If Michael Curry doesn’t ignore #54 then we might see a put back or two of our own as Jason has been known to go into OH-BEAST! mode and do that from time to time. If not a put back, then maybe another one of these..
