UFC 106 Aftermath: End of Night Bonuses, Griffin vs. Ortiz III + More
CagePotato.com —
(Tito Ortiz complains about not getting UFC 106's Fight of the Night bonus, and disputes the scoring of his match against Forrest Griffin. Koscheck's expression at 2:34-2:36 pretty much sums it up. Props: Cagewriter)
— Though Josh Koscheck and Dana White have reportedly butted heads in the past, it's clear that Kos is back on DW's good side. For his second-round submission of Anthony Johnson at UFC 106 last night, Koscheck picked up both the $70,000 Submission of the Night bonus, and a $70,000 Fight of the Night bonus (which Johnson also received). ...

Tito Ortiz Feels That He Should Have Won UFC 106 Bout and 'Fight Of The Night' Bonus
FightLine.com MMA News —
Tito Ortiz Feels That He Should Have Won UFC 106 Bout & 'Fight Of The Night' Bonus In a bit of poetic justice, much like Forrest Griffin feeling he won his original bout with Tito Ortiz at UFC 59 , Tito Ortiz stated that he felt he won last night's rematch during the UFC 106 post-fight press conference. "I thought I won the fight," Ortiz stated. "I thought I pulled it off two rounds to one. You know, that third round, I'm very thankful to Dr. William Smith here in Las Vegas for doing the surgery that he did, otherwise I would not have been able to step in against a guy who is ranked fifth in the world. I came in and thought I won the ...
Don’t Call It A Comeback - Unless You Think Whining Will Do The Trick
squabbles.com —
Tito and Dana really are buddies again, and if you doubt that, this should seal the deal.
Dana should leave the judging to the actual judges.
He and Tito were both completely, utterly wrong about this one, and Forrest has every right to want to kick them squarely in the ass for their post-fight comments about the decision. ...
Ortiz Goes PMS
Octagon Buzz —
Tito Ortiz thought he got screwed in the cage and outside. He bitched about not getting Fight of the Night and the $70,000 bonus. He also thought he won the first two rounds against Forrest Griffin. What a whiny bitch Ortiz is. He needs to quit acting like his porn star wife and act like a man.
Tito didn't win the battle but says he won the war
Cage Writer —
Robbed was the word of the night for Tito Ortiz following his loss to Forrest Griffin but deep down he thinks he's the one who pulled off the heist. That's right, he won the long war against UFC president Dana White. Ortiz pulled a fast one on the big guy when he got the UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta to overrule White in favor of him. Tito blurted out that he "won" between the two of them during the press conference (8:25 mark) and also said it during an interview with DC and The Sunshine Man on ESPNRadio1100 on Thursday. Maybe it was an unfair fight. Adam Hill from the Las Vegas Review-Journal wrote: ...
Tito Ortiz at the UFC 106 post-fight press conference
Pro MMA —
Tito Ortiz talks at the UFC 106 post-fight press conference about his performance against Forrest Griffin, and how he felt he won the fight. He also couldn’t believe Koscheck vs. Johnson got “Fight of the Night.” Ortiz would like a rematch with Griffin, and says his future is in Dana’s hands. Ortiz goes on to say maybe he bit off more than he could chew and possibly came back too quickly after surgery. He wanted a “warm up” fight in his first fight back, and that fight turned out to be against Griffin who is ranked number five in the world. Despite all that, he still feels he’s “breaking records” by coming back so quickly after such a serious surgery. Related ...
Tito Ortiz Talks About UFC 106
TheScore.com Blog —
The clip goes on for quite a while and isn’t terribly interesting but for two things: Tito Ortiz is bang on when he says that the judge who scored the fight 30-27 must have been blind, and when he is aghast at the decision to award fight of the night to Josh Koscheck after his display—ridiculously taking time out to “recover” from a phantom eye poke (granted, after blocking an illegal a knee to the head), and then following that up with a pretty intentional-looking actual finger to the eye of his opponent, Anthony Johnson. Of course, don’t tell that to the commenters on the YouTube clip, who appear to almost universally loathe Ortiz. ...
