Rookie Anthony Morrow Drops 37 On The LA Clippers
Hip 2 Da Game —
Man, I wish I could say I was surprised that Anthony Morrow dropped 37 points in an NBA game after going undrafted out of Georgia Tech, but truth be told, Morrow lit up every Summer League he played in. I named Morrow to my Hip 2 Da Game's Top 5 Players of the NBA Summer League: Anthony Morrow: Morrow shot the ball at an insane clip in all 3 summer leagues playing for both Miami and Golden State. From three point land, he hit 55.0, 85.7%, and 68.8% of his three pointers, which is pretty much unheard of even for summer league play. I can't imagine how this guy couldn't make an NBA roster at least as a 3-Point specialist. Orlando: 11.6 ...

Anthony Morrow, Undrafted Rookie Scores 37 for Golden State Warriors. Who?
The Critical Fanatic —
It hasn’t been a very good start for the Golden State Warriors. They began the season with an undrafted rookie point guard, DeMarcus Nelson, starting in replace of injured and suspended Monta Ellis. Nelson has since been sent to the D-League. On Saturday night, the situation figured to get worse for the Warriors as they were forced to start another undrafted rookie at forward: Anthony Morrow from Georgia Tech. In a matchup that was supposed to be all about Baron Davis and Corey Maggette facing their old teams, Morrow stole the show in a big, big way. How’s 37 points sound? ...
Saturday’s Clippers-Warriors Game interrupted by Chocolate Rain
Fear The Beard —
“Chocolate Rain - some stay dry while others feel the pain/
Chocolate Rain - Morrow’s threes fall on Clippers’ heads again.”
Here at FTB, we decided to implement a little experiment in Live Blogging for Saturday’s Game against the Clippers. Besides a momentary technical glitch thanks to our friends at Comcast, we were up and running a few minutes into the 1st quarter. The goal of this experiment was to try and have a more moderated and intimate live game discussion versus the usual mono-syllabic snipings of hundreds that occur on other ...
Is Anthony Morrow a Real Person? - A Blowtorch Investigation
the Blowtorch —
Evidence for Evidence against Conclusions There are only two logical results: Anthony Morrow is a real NBA player, who plays for the Golden State Warriors. He can only play for the Golden State Warriors, since his main skill is scoring. Upon joining another team, he would be Damien Wilkins (read: shoots too much, hated, annoying). Anthony Morrow is a construct. Concocted by a Dustin Hoffman in Wag the Dog type, "Morrow" was created to assuage concerns by the Golden State faithful. His existence is predicated on the concept of fairness. After Monta Ellis' injury, "Anthony ...

Two seasons ago, the “We Believe” Warriors became the NBA cult success of the decade by having a sense of identity that seemed to inform their success as much as any team in recent memory. They were completely devoted to chaos-they were fast-breaking, three-ball firing, pass-lane overplaying, guard-fueled bats out of hell, and their renegade mentality allowed them to topple the Mavericks. A season later, they actually had more sustained success, pushing their win total to 48 and barely missing the ...

2009-10 Golden State Warriors Season Preview
The Season That Was…..
Last season started off with a bang. By bang, I mean Monta Ellis crashing his moped in a low speed accident that summer. This resulted in ankle surgery and costing him a 30-game suspension (and some salary from his off season contract extension). That wasn’t the only cause for last season. Baron Davis packed his bags and went back to his hometown to play for the LA Clippers. A disgruntled “Protegé” Al Harrington getting shipped out to New York for Jamal Crawford. Then Don Nelson tried everything he could ...
