I was watching this live when it happened, and was like, "Did he really say that?"

Then, he said it again, and actually almost said it but stipped midway and used a different term. His producer or someone must have told him....

Anyways, he was right. Horrible job by the officials.

Good to see that the mentally challenged can always find work as color commentators.

    "they face raked him ..."

I don't see what the big deal is.

No, I'm pretty sure he said "face-raped"....Oh my goodness, I didn't know football was such a brutal sport. Give me a f-ing break!!! If you don't like it, go watch golf.

Listen closely and you can hear the K sound (at least I do). Plus, Occam's Razor: "face rake" is an actual term, "face rape"  is not.

For what it's worth, it sounded a like like "raked" to me, too... and that would have made a lot more sense.

Iowa Face-Rapes Illinois
Published 10/13/2007 by TheBigLead at The Big Lead
... humors us with this curious piece of audio from the Texas game in which an announcer actually uses the term ‘face-rape.’ That’s bound to be a sticky phrase. Illinois has stunk up the joint against Iowa all afternoon, but with 90 seconds left, they’re about to score and beat Iowa. Oh, no! Juice his backup (?) just threw an interception in the end zone! The upsets continue. Iowa 10, Illinois 6.
