Victor Martinez Hates Buckets, Sunflower Seeds
Published 5/22/2008 by Tom Fornelli at FanHouse
Filed under: Cleveland, Indians, AL Central, MLB Video It's hard to blame Victor Martinez for being frustrated. I mean, last week the Indians were playing well and had finally climbed into first place in the AL Central. Then they ran into the buzzsaw that is the Cincinnati Reds over the weekend, got swept, and have now lost their last two games against the White Sox. Still, I don't know why that poor bucket and those sunflower seeds had to take the blame. Permalink | Email ...
Victor Martinez Is The Number One Threat to Buckets in the United States

While I'll get to the White Sox' seventh straight victory last night later this morning in the Morning Wood, I figured I'd post this now. You see, while the White Sox have won seven straight, the Indians have now lost five in a row. Obviously, the losses are frustrating Victor Martinez, as he showed that bucket of sunflower seeds who's boss. Funny? Yes, but it's also sad. Buckets have long been abused in this country, and damn it, it's time we put a stop to it. Whether they're being beaten on by kids with drumsticks outside your local stadium, or having feet shoved through them, it's just gone too far. Stop the violence, people.
