VIDEO - 2008 MLB All-Star Game commercial

I love this commercial
The 'Ropolitans | NY Mets Baseball Blog — You all know I'm a Mets fan (duh, you're on this site) but I absolutely love this commercial for the 2008 All Star Game. I love the graphics, it's simple and easy, and the song is amazing. It's the Silversun Pickups -- Lazy Eye. ...

Fox's All Star Game Promo Is Uninspiring Despite the Graphics
FanHouse — ... aside. At first I figured it was because I'm jaded. Then I thought it might be because A-Rod and Jeter don't strike me as "great". Finally, while trying to figure out how a television station that is wily enough to play Widespread Panic and the White Stripes during their Saturday game seemingly dropped the ball, I realized the whole thing reminds me of that stupid robot that they use on Sundays. All-Star Break is here--Your summer is at its peak
Diamond Hoggers — One more game to go before they're all in the books (Mets vs. Rockies) before the All-Star break. I kind of dig this commercial. It really sets the scene for some dramatics. We're a little disturbed that our season is already over halfway gone, but this is the pinnacle of the summer season. Will it be a classic? Hopefully we get a showing as good as the 1992 AS (Griffey MVP) game or the 1994 AS game (Tony Gwynn scores the game winner). Seemed like guys went a lot harder then.

ModernTube: MLB imagines Gateway Arch as giant magnet
Big League Stew — Yeah, there are a few appearances by non All-Stars (Ortiz and Reyes) and at least one Yahooligan thinks several people may have died during its filming, but the latest All-Star commercial featuring the Gatway Arch as a talent magnet gets a solid 'A' from our little corner of the baseball world. Anyone know how I can arrange for similar transportation to St. Louis? Major League Baseball gets a lot of well-deserved guff for coming up short on its marketing efforts, but I've enjoyed its All-Star commercials for the past couple of seasons. Who even knew that Bud Selig was a fan of Carolina Liar or Silversun Pickups? ...
