Wayman Tisdale has a video message for his alma mater
The Dagger — Would you like to watch it? I (and Ballhype's aggregated genius) knew you would: Tisdale delivered that message to the fans of Oklahoma this weekend in their football game versus TCU. As you'll remember, Tisdale was an Oklahoma Sooner in his playing days before he went on to solid NBA success, and then a music career. A few weeks ago, bone cancer forced him to amputate his leg. Here was a video Catfish posted back in September about his recovery after having his leg amputated due to his bout with bone cancer. This morning he passed away. From all indications a great man, teammate and musician. He was also on the original version of NBA Jam. I hope God greets you as a friend big fella. ...

Wayman Tisdale, RIP
Can't Stop The Bleeding — Wayman Tisdale, a 3 time All-American at Oklahoma and a 12 year NBA veteran with Indiana, Sacramento and Phoenix, has passed away following an extended fight with the cancer that recently claimed his left leg. Tisdale, a 1984 Olympic Gold medalist, was recently named a new inductee to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall Of Fame.  His career  totals of 2661 points and 1048 rebounds still stand as all-time marks at OU. An accomplished left-handed bassist, Tisdale released 8 albums of pop-jazz recordings between 1995 and 2008.
