A bizarre day through and through–like, weird to the core, as weird long as it was weird wide as it was weird deep, just weirdness and drah-mah in all directions. It would be enough to drive even the professionals of the CAA to the limits of their patience. Or: it might even drive them to the limits of their fucking patience.

As Comcast SportsNet play-by-play man Bob Picozzi described the final seconds of Villanova's 21-20 victory over Richmond, an unknown person is overheard saying, "What a bum. Come on, end this [bleeping] game." Initially, the comments were thought to have been uttered by Picozzi or color commentator Scott Brunner. However, Colonial Athletic Conference officials said that was not the case and in all likelihood, there was an open microphone in the production truck.

Here’s your Division I-AA post for November [forget it, I'm not calling it FCS] the end of Villanova-Richmond game. Richmond misses a last-minute field goal, and the color commentator can’t get over it, losing whatever semblance of professionalism he had left. It might be the only time that a college football telecast suddenly morphs into an episode of “House of Punte,” only more profane. And more compelling. –Every Day Should Be Spencerday. ...
