  He's simply making sure that the ball gets its proper treatment, i.e. mousturizing & facial scrub.  Wouldn't want it to get dry skin now, would we?

  Is it so hard to believe that maybe, just maybe he wants to take part in wet t-shirt contest?  It's always spring break in Colorado.

  Ya it looks wierd but come on.  I see pitchers licking their fingers and grabbing dirt all the time.  I don't know about you, but I don't want to be grabbing dirt and then sticking my fingers in my mouth for the next pitch.
