Weekend Tube Review: CBS, ESPN Play Nice
The Sporting Blog — By Brian Powell Both ESPN and CBS did a wonderful job of bringing the brackets to us last evening, but even before the brackets were released the two networks were completing one of the most interesting trade-off. ESPN stepped up late Saturday night and agreed to allow CBS to air the SEC Championship game on ESPN so CBS could go ahead with its nationally televised Big 10 Championship. Georgia stunned Arkansas on a CBS broadcast, which aired on ESPN2, and could ultimately play into low ratings for CBS' Selection Show. Waggle Room — I don't know if you watched all of NBC Sports' coverage of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.  It was, what, six hours long?  Well, I did.  And, I even watched the golfers that weren't at the top of the leaderboard. Two guys in particular, made the final hole very fun. Johnson Wagner and Jerry Kelly both made some pretty nice putts on Bay Hill's challenging final hole.  Both putts were kind of reminiscent of Tiger Woods' 24'2" putt that he made to win the 2008 Arnold Palmer Invitational.  You know, this one:   But, also, Wagner and Kelly took the ...
