I can only wish Hinske had been a part of that. I'm positive he would have clotheslined Duncan and not have stopped. I've been waiting for him to snap for years...

Yankees and Rays Fight: In Video Form!
FanHouse — Filed under: Yankees, Rays, AL East, MLB Video As the lovely Yankees Chick informed you of earlier, the Yankees and Rays got into a bit of a brouhaha this afternoon in Florida after Shelley Duncan went spikes high into second base. I think it's pretty clear in the video above that Duncan wasn't as interested in how the shortstop's wife and kids were as much as he wanted to know what he'd look like with a few holes in his thigh. I'm not sure I dig the immediate ejection by the umpires, but I'm a ...

It's All Set: Crystal vs. Maholm
Mondesi's House — In today's upcoming installment of Low Points in Pirate History, it's been announced that this afternoon's Billy Crystal publicity stunt will include a spot as the Yankees' leadoff batter. Crystal will be the DH, to be replaced later in the game by Johnny Damon, the $13 million man whose numbers have been in freefall since his 2006 poaching from the Red Sox. So most Yankee fans probably won't even notice the lineup change. It looks like Crystal will get a crack at Paul Maholm, (he of the 5.02 ERA last season) which means he's got a fighting chance of getting a hit. If there's some way he could stretch it ...

I can't believe it took ESPN about 3 hours to get this video, but here it is from ESPN News. A pretty cheap slide by Shelly Duncan starts the arguing and a horrible tackle attempt by Johnny Gomes clears the benches..... Pretty lame, but aren't all baseball fights not involving Nolan Ryan and Robin Ventura? Nice Anchorman reference by Anish Shroff (whoever that is) though.
