Erin +1What I love is that no one does anything to stop the guy from picking up not one but two bases. -
Redsauce Gotta feel for those minor league umpires. They get paid almost nothing, travel almost all of the year, get treated like crap by fans & managers. Although, I suppose when something like this happens, they get a free show. -
Redsauce Also--two other things: they should drug test this guy pronto with that low-crawling craziness.
And a very nice grenade-style toss of the rosin bag. That umpire'd be gone if this were Vietnam.
-
TheHype The whole thing just wraps up nicely with Al Green as backdrop music...
Let's, let's stay together
Lovin' you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad -
UtesFan89 Reminds me a bit of the minor-league manager that was ejected last year (June or July) and went absolutely ballistic... throwing bats and covering home-plate and all.
As for this guy, what was he trying to prove by throwing the rosin-bag like a grenade?
-
RyNoSauce This guy is nuts and should be forced to take a pee test ASAP. -
footballprofessor oh man, I hurt. Too much laughing.

... * So, how are you enjoying suspension Sunday? Lou Piniella is out until MLB tells him he can come back and play nice after a problem with an ump bump and there were a few other guys getting run as well. None had as much fun as the Mississippi Braves manager did on his way out, though.

Introducing Your Best-Mannered Athletes
Published 12/19/2007 by Fun Sheriff at Lion in Oil
Manners? There seem to be no manners in sports, if you watch anything on a regular basis. But a group called the National League of Junior Cotillions, has come out with a “Ten Best-Mannered People of 2007,” and lo-and-behold a number of athletes appear on the list. Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) is first, and here are the sports figures. 2. Tim Tebow - for displaying good sportsmanship on and off the field. 4. Tony Dungy - for his example of humility and politeness. 6. Brett Favre - for his perseverance as an athlete. 10. Tiger Woods - for inspiring young people to achieve their best.So the kids ...

Girardi Tossed After Tirade - We’ve Seen Better
Published 5/23/2008 by jason at SPORTSbyBROOKS
Apparently trying to stoke some fire into the Yankees’ extinguished season, Joe Girardi got a little argumentative with the umpire Thursday night - and got himself a little thrown out. Let’s go to the tape: Our analysis? We’ve seen better baseball blow-ups. Observe: Here’s Asheville Tourists manager Joe Mikulik losing it in Lexington: While Mississippi Braves manager Phillip Wellman goes cuckoo in Chattanooga: We congratulate Girardi on a good first effort of getting enraged. But after seeing Mikulik & Wellman, Joe still have a ways to go in offering entertaining anger mismanagement to the ticket-paying masses.
