Wow. Its easy to see why this guy left after his freshman year at Georgia Tech. Its also easy to see why people said he should have stayed there much longer. Or he could have been high.

I dislike Stephen Marbury & think he's an idiot.  Gotta give him kudos for those affordable shoes though, and I mean that in all seriousness.  I think it's a great thing to do.

This is an unbelievable interview--it's like Starbury pulled the wool over our eyes for a decade, just so we'd be that much more shocked.  I really thought it was a SNL skit at first.  And you must watch to the end.

In case you were wondering Stephon Marbury would like to clear up that he and KG played basketball together - they did not go home and sleep in the same bed together, they played basketball together.

Isiah is a man's man and he can see the light.

Z-Bo can shoot the three and bring the ball up.

Stephon is going to average 13 dimes and 3 assists next season.

He MUST have been high during this interview. I really hope so for his benefit...

A while back Stephon Marbury was on the New York-area television program "Mike'D Up", and recorded one of the best interviews in television history. It was an interview that included: -Stephon telling the interviewer to hold on while he checked who was calling his cell phone. -A bizarre reference to predicting he will average "12-13 dimes...2-3 assists..." -One of the creepier ways anyone has ever said, "If you believe it, you can achieve it." -Stephon saying he shoots to win!...not to win the championship trophy (which he says he doesn't care about, and calls "shiny stuff") -And much more! Who Is The NBA's Least Valuable Player? You Decide! [Least Valuable Player]
Published 4/3/2008 by Leitch at Deadspin
Chris Paul, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James...everybody has an opinion about who should win the NBA's MVP award this season, and most people have a theory about who's going to do it. Not me. I'm much more interested in who's going to be the league's Least Valuable Player. And you, the readers, get to help me decide. The Son Of Dippin Official Brian Greene Memorial Poll: Gone Coach-Pickin
Published 4/13/2008 by Barnesgasm at Son of Dippin
Isiah Thomas: coach of the New York Knicks. I don't feel sorry for the dude, even if he's the least liked human being ever: it's so clear he's checked out and moved on to whatever the next dumbass thing he plans to do with his wildly successful life is, but for now, he must remain coach, a penumbra of his own regime, just watching a clock and hoping his team wins so he doesn't look so bad, because, after all, for Thomas, it's never really been about "looking good" but rather "not looking bad." His glory days were a year we won 33 games. But to move forward, a new coach must be named, and I have assembled a crack list of motherfuckers we should hire, and I shall ...

Instead of doing the End of Season Awards like I promised I decided to switch it up because nobody deserves any type of award. (averages are points, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals)    Jamal Crawford B - 20.6, 2.6, 5.0, .21, 1.01 - Say what you want about his defense but he was/is the most prolific scorer on the Knicks (even if that isn’t saying much).  When he gets hot he’s tough to stop. Look at him cross one of the best point guards in the league Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz….. Zach Randolph C+ - 17.6, 10.3, 2.0, .86, .21 - I ...

Marbury back to Suns?
Published 5/13/2008 by Vince Marotta at AZ Sports Hub - Arizona's Destination for Sports - Blogs - Podcasts - Forums
Brace yourselves Phoenix. Its only a rumor, but if there’s any weight to it, Stephon Marbury, his $22 million salary and his $15 shoes could be headed back to the Valley. In this morning’s New York Daily News, writer Mitch Lawrence cites a “source” who says that D’Antoni wants Boris Diaw and Leandro Barbosa to join him in the Big Apple, and Marbury would be headed back to Phoenix as a main cog in the deal. Read Mitch Lawrence’s entire article here. I know Steve Kerr has only been on the job as GM since June, but even he has to know what a joke this would be. The Suns only tradable commodities in ...

Oops, I Did It Again...

I’ve discussed McFail’s trade history on this blog before, but I feel like it deserves a quick peek before going into what’s out there as far as trades this off season. For the most part the trades that the Wolves Braintrust have made usually don’t work out, at least right off the bat. Sure, Donyell Marshall for Tom Gugliotta was a solid trade that immediately paid dividends, but it usually takes another deal to really make that deal count for something (turning down the Googs for Eddie Jones and Elden Campbell deal still hurts though). Take the Ray Allen-for-Stephon Marbury swap. It was pretty good ...

Knicks say hello to Duhon and (will) say goodbye to Marbury
Published 20 days ago by houroc at SportFiends
Chris Duhon signed with the 3 ring circus New York Knicks yesterday to make his own fireworks in New York.  The Knicks signed Duhon to a 2 year deal worth about $11.5 million. It will be interesting to see how Duhon will fit in to Mike D’Antoni’s system. He was a career backup with the Bulls, should bring streaky shooting and poor defense to the team but on the bright side, he is a pass first guy which is a sharp contrast to recent Knick teams where everyone tries to take over. It’s rumored that this signing will mark the end of the Knicks dysfunctional relationship with ...

Stephon Marbury: The Face Tattoo and Assorted Bad Decisions
Published 12 days ago by Jim at Green Bandwagon: Front Page Posts
It's been a long strange ride for Marbury over the last couple of years. And yet much like Mike Tyson, who went through a series of bizarre, albeit more outlandish, events, Marbury appears to have reached the point of no return with his face tattoo. I've got nothing against tattoos. However, Marbury's most recent one caused me to look back over the tumultuous events of his last couple of seasons. And to be honest I probably missed a few. - His launch of the Starbury line of shoes, which are affordable and allowed him to make LeBron James look terrible. Possibly the last positive on this list, depending upon how you feel about Yes ...
